23rd International Congress on Acoustics, Sept. 09-13, 2019
integrating 4th EAA Euroregio 2019

► PLEASE NOTE: Train Schedule changes on 7/8 September

If you arrive on Saturday or Sunday, 7 or 8 September by train: Please note that the regional trains between Cologne (Köln) and Aachen will take longer due to construction works:

  • RE 1 and RE9 from Köln to Aachen:
All trains of line RE1 and RE9 from Köln go to Düren as usual (2 per hr). In Düren, you change to a shuttle bus, which takes you directly to Aachen. (Train tickets are still valid). Hence, Aachen will be reached about 20 minutes later.
  • ICE from Frankfurt Airport with destination Brussels via Aachen:
These ICE's still go directly to Aachen. Due to a detour, they have a different schedule and take about 1 hr longer. (Departure at Frankfurt Airport: 09:43 / 13:43 / 16:02 / 18:43).
  • Regular trains without any changes:
    - Line RE4 from Düsseldorf (Mainstation), 1 per hour
    - All trains from Belgium/France to Aachen

From Monday on (September 9), all trains travel regularly, also on the following weekend. Please make sure to check your schedule before the journey.
For any questions, please contact the train service at "Deutsche Bahn":

  • Phone (english): 0044 (0) 8718 80 80 66
  • Phone/contact addresses in various languages
  • There is a service desk at all large train stations. In case you did not reach your connection due to a late train, please contact the personnel. They will supply you with an updated ticket.

Disregarding these short-dated changes, we wish you a smooth and relaxed journey to Aachen and look forward to meeting you soon.
